Westburn Alterations

This project involved upgrading existing outbuildings to create additional space for the Family of this tradtiional granite home.

The existing outbuilding and Utility space was stripped back to the granite, to allow for a new floor slab, insulated walls, heating, and decoration throughout. Knocking through an existing store allowed for the creation of an additional living space, with a new window opening formed to provide a view over the garden.

The existing Utility, WC and former Kitchen were removed, and internal partitions were formed to create a new Shower Room and Utility. A new external door, windows and rooflights were added to create a fully insulated envelope.

The result is a transformation which provides additional space for the family to grow, live and enjoy.
